Early Years Practitioner – Primary (Nottingham)

We’re currently recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining a caring and inclusive school that is passionate about giving children the best possible start to their education. The school places a strong focus on communication, creativity, wellbeing and learning through play.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner or Nursery professional looking to work within a primary school environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children across Nursery and EYFS
- Planning and delivering engaging play-based activities
- Supporting communication, language and social development
- Encouraging children’s independence and confidence
- Supporting early phonics, literacy and numeracy
- Observing and recording children’s development and progress
- Working closely with teachers and other education professionals
- Maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Requirements or Skills:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Education is desirable
- Recent experience working within Nursery, EYFS or childcare
- Strong understanding of Early Years development
- Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
