Student Engagement Mentor

Milk Education is looking for Student Engagement Mentors to support primary schools across North Durham.
September Start | Full Time | £107.71 daily rate | 8:30am – 3:30pm
You’ll play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build positive relationships and develop the confidence and independence they need to thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support
- Building positive relationships and encouraging pupil confidence
- Helping children develop communication, social and self-management skills
- Supporting pupils with additional needs and individual learning requirements
- Working closely with teachers and wider school teams
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining confidentiality
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a school or education setting is desirable
- Level 2/3 Childcare, Education or a related qualification is advantageous, but relevant experience will also be considered
- A genuine passion for supporting children
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, positive and encouraging approach
- An understanding of SEND and additional needs
