Your main responsibilities will include:

Teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 within this Ashton secondary school

Planning and conducting safe, practical laboratory experiments that enhance conceptual understanding

Maintaining strong behaviour management as a subject specialist Science Teacher

Working with the science faculty in Ashton to monitor pupil progress, assess work, and prepare learners for GCSE assessments

Creating an inclusive learning environment for pupils across the Ashton setting while adhering strictly to safeguarding standards
Requirements or Skills:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised Secondary Science teaching credential

Experience delivering General Science up to KS4 (specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics welcomed)

Confident lab management, safety awareness, and classroom presence

Commitment to joining a dedicated team in Ashton as an active Science Teacher

Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
