Pupil Support Assistant – North Tyneside
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | September 2026 Start
Milk Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside from September 2026.
The successful candidate will support pupils both academically and pastorally, helping children feel confident, engaged and ready to learn throughout the school day.
The Role
- Provide support to pupils across the primary age range
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce classroom learning
- Encourage positive attitudes towards school and learning
- Support pupils who may need additional help with confidence or engagement
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation
- Promote positive behaviour and strong relationships
- Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

- Experience working with children or young people
- A calm, patient and encouraging personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different pupils and situations
- Reliable and committed approach to work
- Genuine passion for supporting children’s development
