Year 3 Teacher – Primary (Nottingham)

We’re currently recruiting for a Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that values ambition, wellbeing and strong relationships. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking to support pupils through an important transition into Key Stage 2.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils with the transition from KS1 into KS2
  • Teaching English, maths and the wider curriculum
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Creating a positive, stimulating and inclusive classroom
  • Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent primary teaching experience, ideally within KS2
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
