School Administrator – Primary (Nottingham)

We’re currently recruiting for a School Administrator to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

You’ll be joining a supportive school where communication, organisation and community are at the heart of day-to-day life. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy school environment and being a key point of contact for pupils, parents and staff.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day administration of the school office
  • Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors and pupils
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate pupil and school records
  • Supporting attendance administration and reporting
  • Preparing letters, communications and school documents
  • Assisting staff and senior leaders with administrative tasks
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately

Requirements or Skills:

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or education setting
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school administration systems
  • Professional, approachable and friendly manner
  • Ability to work calmly in a busy environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
