EYFS Teaching Assistant- L5 area (Sep 2026)
Milk Education is proud to be working in partnership with a community primary school in North Liverpool (L5 area ) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in the 2nd week of September 2026!
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital classroom support to the class teacher, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve working with small groups of pupils who require additional academic support, as well as offering one-to-one assistance to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as needed. As the EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support with phonics and reading sessions each day in the morning and support on a one-to-one basis in the afternoon
The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and flexible, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development. This is a temporary role and the working hours are 08:30am- 15:30pm.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Support small groups of pupils and provide one-to-one assistance when needed
- Help maintain focus and engagement for pupils throughout the school day
- Prepare learning materials and assist in delivering educational activities
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
Requirements or Skills:
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child’s academic and emotional development
