Geography Teacher – Greenwich

The successful Geography Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering lessons that encourage curiosity about physical and human geography, environmental issues and global challenges. Geography plays a key role within the curriculum, helping students develop critical thinking, analytical and investigative skills.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working as a Geography Teacher to inspire curiosity about the world and global issues
- Developing students’ geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and critical thinking
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong academic outcomes
- Assessing, tracking and monitoring student progress effectively
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Contributing to curriculum development and Humanities department initiatives
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
The Ideal Candidate:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography
- Ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to raising attainment and achievement
- ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

- Recent experience teaching Geography within UK secondary schools
