We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.
You’ll be joining an inclusive and welcoming school focused on community, wellbeing and creating a positive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities

Delivering lessons and activities independently when required
-
Providing cover for classes during teacher PPA time or short-term absences
-
Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups to meet individual learning needs
-
Delivering targeted interventions to support pupils’ academic progress
-
Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive relationships across the classroom

Adapting resources and activities to support pupils with different abilities and needs
-
Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistency in learning and behaviour expectations
Requirements or Skills:
-
Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a primary school
-
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
-
Experience delivering lessons, interventions or small group activities
-
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
-
Confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for learning activities
-
A positive, adaptable and supportive approach

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
