Daily Rate: £150 – £220

We are currently recruiting a History Teacher to join a progressive Secondary School in Ashton on a long-term basis starting in September. This History Teacher role comes with excellent temp-to-perm potential for the right candidate.

You will be joining a supportive secondary school in Ashton that places inclusive learning and academic ambition at the heart of the community. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career or experienced History Teacher to secure a role within an established humanities department in Ashton.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and teaching high-impact lessons as a subject specialist History Teacher across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in Ashton

  • Engaging students of all abilities with enquiry-based learning and historical analysis

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere across the Ashton school

  • Working with the humanities faculty to track pupil progress and prepare GCSE classes for upcoming assessments

  • Upholding school safeguarding procedures and contributing positively to the wider Ashton school environment

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification in History

  • Recent experience delivering the UK curriculum up to KS4 as a History Teacher

  • Strong behaviour management capabilities and classroom presence in an Ashton setting

  • Genuine commitment to high academic standards and student engagement

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one)

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
