Our long and short-term opportunities can also provide a pathway into temp-to-perm or permanent positions, allowing you to build relationships with schools and find the right long-term fit. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and age-appropriate lessons across the KS2 curriculum 

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel confident to learn 

  • Supporting pupils to develop their literacy, numeracy, communication, independence and wider learning skills 

  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs 

  • Differentiating lessons and resources to support pupils of different abilities and needs 

  • Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently in line with school expectations 

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and supporting their academic and personal development 

  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff and colleagues 

  • Communicating effectively with parents/carers and the wider school team where appropriate 

  • Adapting confidently to different classrooms, year groups and school environments when working short-term 

  • Contributing positively to the wider school community when working on longer-term assignments 

  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing 

 

Requirements or Skills: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing an ECT programme 

  • Experience teaching or working within a primary school environment 

  • A genuine passion for teaching children across Key Stage 2 

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, including literacy and numeracy 

  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills 

  • A flexible, adaptable and positive approach to teaching 

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers 

  • Confidence working across different school environments and year groups 

  • A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting every child to achieve their potential 

  • A willingness to engage positively with feedback and ongoing professional development
