We’re currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a Primary School in Morpeth on a long- or short-term basis starting in September.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
- Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social development by encouraging positive relationships and promoting independence.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Requirements or Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong understanding of supporting children with diverse learning needs, including SEND, while adapting teaching strategies to promote inclusion.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with the ability to remain calm and provide consistent support in challenging situations.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
