Milk Education is currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Wythenshawe, Manchester, on a long-term basis.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll become an important part of this team, helping to create a classroom environment where every child feels included, supported and able to succeed.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other members of staff to support pupils across the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom

• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions based on individual pupil needs

• Supporting targeted interventions to help pupils make progress

• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom resources

• Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra help with their learning

• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence

• Supporting an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued

• Working with pupils through both structured learning and practical activities

• Providing whole-class cover when required

• Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team

• Building positive relationships with pupils and acting as a consistent, supportive presence

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and committed to helping every pupil reach their potential.

You must have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above

• Recent experience working within a school setting within the last 5 years

• Experience supporting pupils either 1:1, in small groups or within a whole-class environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A positive and patient approach

• The ability to build strong relationships with children

• Confidence supporting learning and behaviour

• The ability to follow the direction of the class teacher while also using your own initiative
