MFL Teacher – Barnet
Milk Education are working in partnership with a high-achieving and ambitious secondary school in Barnet to appoint an enthusiastic MFL Teacher for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate MFL Teacher to join a successful Languages department that is committed to developing confident communicators and fostering an appreciation for different cultures and languages.
The successful MFL Teacher will teach French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The school places a strong emphasis on linguistic excellence, cultural awareness and ensuring students view languages as a valuable skill for life, future study and employment.
The Role:
- Planning and delivering engaging Modern Foreign Languages lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working as an MFL Teacher to develop students’ confidence in speaking, reading, writing and listening
- Teaching French and/or Spanish in line with curriculum and examination requirements
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to take risks with language learning
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong outcomes
- Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress effectively
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
- Promoting cultural awareness and global understanding through language learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching French and/or Spanish within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for language learning
- Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Commitment to raising attainment and student achievement
- ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional references covering the last two years
- Recent experience teaching MFL within UK secondary schools
