Salary: £107.71–£115 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only

Milk Education is seeking a caring, patient and dedicated Personal Care & Complex Needs Assistant to support pupils within a specialist SEND school in Oldham.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of complex needs, helping them access education, develop independence and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable providing personal care and can bring a calm, compassionate and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including toileting, changing and hygiene support, whilst maintaining pupils’ dignity and independence.

  • Support pupils with complex SEND, including learning difficulties, autism and physical disabilities.

  • Assist with classroom activities, communication and individual learning targets.

  • Support pupils with mobility and moving and handling where required, following relevant training and care plans.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs, care or support work.

  • Confidence and willingness to provide personal care as part of the role.

  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach, with the ability to build positive relationships.

  • Moving and handling training or experience is desirable but not essential.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
