Primary Teacher – Primary School in North Manchester

Milk Education is currently recruiting a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Manchester. This position is available from September and would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT who is passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences and helping children reach their full potential.

Your Role

As a Primary Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported
• Differentiating lessons and activities to meet the needs, abilities and learning styles of individual pupils
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress and using this information to inform future planning
• Setting high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement
• Using effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Providing targeted support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
• Developing positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and participating in school events and activities where required
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant planning, assessment and administrative tasks
• Following school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding and child protection
• Promoting pupils’ wellbeing, confidence and independence throughout the school day

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Has experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Has a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Is passionate about helping children learn, develop and achieve their full potential
• Can plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons
• Has high expectations of pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development
• Is confident in managing classroom behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Can build strong and positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
• Is adaptable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports every child
• Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or is willing to undertake relevant training

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
