SEND Support Worker – Surrey – From September 

Milk Education is recruiting SEND Support Workers for schools and specialist settings across Liverpool, with opportunities available from September on a short-term, long-term, permanent or temp-to-perm basis.

You’ll support children and young people with SEND and additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
  • Support pupils with learning, communication, behaviour and emotional needs.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in school activities.
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
  • Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a school, care, youth work or similar setting.
  • Patient, reliable and confident approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding.
  • Relevant Level 2/3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care or similar is desirable.

Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
