Milk Education is seeking caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Stockport and Tameside from September.
We’re looking to connect with experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and education professionals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Opportunities are available across both mainstream and specialist settings, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, communication needs, SEMH and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND
- Support pupils to access learning and participate fully in school life
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
- Support pupils with their social, emotional and communication development
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupil progress
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND TA or similar
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting autism, SEMH or complex needs is desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Relevant SEND, education, childcare or support qualifications are welcomed
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
