We’re currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work across various primary schools throughout Bolton, with opportunities available starting ASAP on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of vibrant, supportive and pupil-focused schools, gaining experience across different year groups and settings while developing your skills and experience within education.

Your main responsibilities will include:
• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective learning activities across the primary curriculum.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required.
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on the needs of the school.
• Adapting activities and providing additional support to meet individual pupil needs, including pupils with SEND.
• Supporting positive behaviour management and promoting positive attitudes towards learning.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils and helping them to develop confidence and independence.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and the wider school team.
• Assisting with classroom preparation, organisation and general classroom duties.
• Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
Requirements or Skills:
• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic and positive approach to working with children.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• A flexible, adaptable and reliable approach to working across different school environments.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
