About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and help pupils develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils individually, in small groups and within whole-class activities.

  • Assisting teachers in planning and preparing engaging learning resources.

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

  • Encouraging children’s social, emotional and academic development.

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping children to become confident, independent learners.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience of working with primary-aged children.

  • Is caring, patient and enthusiastic.

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

  • Works well as part of a team while also using initiative when required.

  • Has GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or has equivalent experience (desirable).
