We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a progressive and child-centred primary school in Bolton on a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual learning needs

· Working alongside the class teacher to support engaging lessons and classroom activities

· Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic skills

· Supporting children with additional learning needs where required

· Promoting a positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed

Requirements or Skills:

· Recent experience working in a school or education setting

· A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Supporting Teaching and Learning or a similar subject — or equivalent hands-on experience

· Strong literacy and numeracy skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working effectively as part of a team

· A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
