Primary Teaching Assistant – Rotherham

Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant who loves helping children learn, grow and build confidence?

Milk Education are currently recruiting for a primary school in Rotherham seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This role would suit an experienced TA who understands the demands of working in a busy primary school and can quickly build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day will be different, but you’ll play an important role in supporting pupils and helping the classroom run smoothly.

You could be:

• Supporting the class teacher during lessons

• Delivering targeted support to individuals and small groups

• Helping pupils who require additional support with their learning

• Supporting children with SEND and different learning needs

• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence

• Helping pupils stay engaged and motivated

• Assisting with classroom preparation and activities

• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils

Are You the Right Person?

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable and confident working with primary-aged children.

To be considered, you will need:

• Recent UK school-based experience – essential

• Experience working with children in a primary setting

• A strong understanding of safeguarding

• Excellent communication skills

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

• A genuine passion for helping children succeed

A Level 2/3 TA qualification is advantageous, but relevant UK school experience is equally valued.
